FRIED BROWN RICE

If you are looking for a healthier option of eating rice, here is one you can try – Fried brown rice.

 

Ingredients:

1 cup of Brown rice  – washed and cooked

1 tbs of vegetable oil

2 tbs of carrot – diced (small dice)

1 – 2 florets of broccoli or broccolini  – chop into small florets

2 gloves of garlic – chopped

0.5cm of fresh ginger – finely chopped

2 tbs of white onion  – diced

2 tbs of kikkoman sauce – I use the less Salt

1 egg – beaten

 

  • Heat oil in a wok heat, pour beaten egg and scramble the egg, add diced carrot, sautee for 2 – 3 minutes to cook the carrot, add chopped broccoli, add minced ginger and garlic, add rice, continue stir-frying on the wok for another 2 – 3 minutes on medium to high heat, pour kikkoman sauce and mix until everything is well incorporated, taste to test the seasoning, add some kikkoman sauce if you need to.  Always remember you are cooking for yourself so adjust the level of seasoning to your own liking
